Comments to NDWAC on PFAS rule
AWWA yesterday provided comments to National Drinking Water Advisory Council (NDWAC) on planned revisions to the per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) drinking water standard, reinforcing the Association’s call for a rule that protects public health, follows scientific process, and is affordable to implement. NDWAC is a federal advisory committee that advises EPA on drinking water policy and regulations.

Annual service line material notifications
AWWA reminds water systems that they are required under the federal Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) to annually notify customers of known or potential service lines containing lead (40 CFR 141.85(e)). The service line material reporting requirement is described in EPA guidance.
